Scary times= thankful times

Today has been a good day. In church today we had some great lessons that have got me thinking about life. Also spending time with my parents and talking about all the scary, hard times surrounding our lives today. All the economy talk gets me worked up, and stressed out. However, I have had time to ponder and realized that despite all these hard times that I need to look around and see the blessings in my life. There is so much to be grateful for and I find when I look at the good in my life it makes all the stresses, and dissapointments seem small.
I just want share just a few of the blessings that make my life so wonderful. I am so grateful for the gospel and the comfort and truth it brings into my life, it brings a happiness that nothing else can and I am so lucky to live in a place where so many others share my same beliefs. I am also blessed with a wonderful family who I know will always be there for me, and who have taught me some of my most valuable lessons in life. I love them and hope that I can be a better family member to them all. I am so blessed to have wonderful friends in my life who love and support me and are there for me through everything. My friends share my values and have never led me to make choices that I would regret. I am grateful for my life and the people I have come incontact with, I have always been one to look up to others and learn from their lives and I am so touched by people in my life.
Most of all I am grateful for my amazing husband. He is honestly the one thing in my life that makes me truely happy. I know they tell you to not count on anyone for you happiness and as much as I try to find joy in other things and in myself, there is nothing that comes close to the happiness he brings me. I know that we were meant to be and I am so lucky that he stuck with me and held on until he won my heart. He is so strong, hard working, caring, and positive. He is so patient and I look up to him tremendously! Thank you Nolan for the happiness you have brought into my life.
Sorry that I am rambling in an emotional manner, but I think sometimes I need help to recognize the great and numerous blessings I have in my life. So i encourage all of you to turn of the news, turn off the worries and look at all we have to be grateful for.

The Mighty Hunter

This weekend Nolan was thrilled to be able to go hunting after a 4 year absence from his beloved hobby, due to the army, and his tour in Iraq. He was so excited to go on the deer hunt, he acted like a little boy before Christmas! Nolan really wanted me to come along and enjoy this great adventure. Although, spending time with Nolan is something I never want to pass up..I though I better be a good wife and PASS. I told him he would have A LOT more fun if I wasn't there. I didn't want him to have to drag a wife a long who would probably get sick of being quiet, and hiking around just to look for deer, and once he killed it.. let's just say Bambi comes to mind. He got a two point buck on Saturday, on what was supposed to be a little four-wheeler ride with Brandon. They spotted him and it only took one shot. The poor thing. Nolan called me and told me he had gotten one and I could not believe the excitement in his voice, and how excited he was to share the experience with his very "hunting- illiterate" wife. It was so cute to hear how happy he was, and I admit, I kinda wished I was there to share it. Here are some of the pictures and sorry the last one is pretty graphic! GOOD JOB BABE! I LOVE YA!

LOOK AT THAT SMILE (NOLAN) PRICELESS!

I think they look so cute in their hunting gear!

The Poulson Men

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this, I said to him: "yea it's probably a good thing I didn't come."
