Adding another BLOG :)
Check out my bow website!! It's definitely a work in progress but I just wanted to give an idea of the many bows I make! I love this hobby and hopefully one day I won't have to borrow any little models and I can have a little one of my own! After aquiring this hobby I better atleast have ONE girl to wear all my bows. Some good hard labor!

This Saturday Nolan and I participated in Habitat for Humanity! One of Nolan's classes split into groups and had to organize a charity event, and this what they did. I decided I would go support my husbands event..cause I mean, really how hard can reconstruction be??? HA! This was some serious work, but it was a blast to be doing it together and to show off my never before seen skills to my sweet hubby! We had to tear down a ceiling in an old, OLD house. You get up on a ladder and start hammering the heck out of it until the ceiling falls on top of you! There was DUST, DIRT, SAW DUST flying everywhere! We couldn't see or breathe! We had to wear masks, goggles, and hard hats!! Me being EXTREMELY CLAUSTROPHOBIC had a very hard time with this, I kept ripping off my mask so I could breathe and then I would choke from the dust! IT WAS SOME GOOD TIMES!!

This is Janica before. Actually using hand sanitizer to sanitize the "nasty, used" hard hat! Nolan was laughing at me so hard! (ok I do have a little "princess" in me!) but it was gross!

This is what it looked like inside! It was crazy!!! Afterwards, Nolan said he was SOOO proud of me! And he loved watching me work like this because it was so out of my element. He is really funny that way; he likes to teach me how to do things i.e. (shooting, guns, motorcycles, 4-wheelers, construction) and then he loves to watch me do it and help me along! It is really cute! I am usually reluctant at first but I do it because he loves these things!

My man heart is torn......

First let me say that I have the best wife in the entire world. If you have any doubt of that read the post previous to my upcoming rant! She is so supportive of me and tends to give me far more credit than I deserve. Thanks for the "Puff my chest up" post Sweetheart! Now for most of the readers of our blog you might not be interested in what I am going to say, but for the occasional husband who finds himself blog surfing you will understand my lingo! First things first I am the biggest Broncos fan there is and I dare somebody to challenge that! Next I have been sitting on needles this off season since watching the great NFL coach Mike Shanahan get eh can. That alone broke my heart, but I took comfort in the fact that we had stellar offense led by one of the top QB's (Jay Cutler) playing. I have been questioning the new coaching decision, but had decided to get on board with hope! Over the past 5 weeks though I have been on the edge of my seat as my Denver Broncos have been trying to patch things up with Cutler, after trying to trade him. Well as of yesterday Jay Cutler is no longer a Denver Bronco. This in my mind is a mistake of ultimate proportions. He is now a Chicago Bear where he will have the success he would have enjoyed in Denver. I will not get into the ins and outs of my opinion and why this is such a mistake, but I will say that now more than ever I am questioning the new Head Coach Josh McDaniels. I voiced my opinions on the radio yesterday I felt very proud of myself, maybe you were listening! Anyways I wish Jay the best of luck in Chicago, and I will miss his gunslinger attributes. I am a Bronco and always will be a Bronco even if that means I am a fan of a team that is being coached by a person who has orchestrated one of the biggest trade blunders in history. Needless to say Coach McDaniels had better find a good QB to fill those shoes, and he had better win some games!!!!!! Go Orange Crush!

PROUD WIFE MOMENT

My sweet hubby has been competing the last few months in the best warrior competition at several levels. Because I don't really understand all the army lingo and the order of all the levels I will just say it in plain and simple ENGLISH terms. Nolan competed first in Ogden with his unit, than went to a higher level somewhere else, then this weekend flew to Washington as the only soldier from his unit and competed. The soldiers get tested in many different areas such as land navigation, rifle range, and then they go before a board and answer army knowledge questions. He did so well and he won a "soldier of the year" award/medal. Nolan I just have to brag about you because I am so proud of you and as hard as it is, and as much as I hate the army I LOVE YOU and am SO PROUD OF YOU and your strength and courage. Thanks for serving our country and doing your best! CONGRATS and I LOVE YOU!

Retreat 2009

Scrapbook Retreat 2009--aka "The best day ever!"
My mother in law is a DIE HARD scrapbooker, every year, twice a year, she gets us tickets to a scrapbook retreat in Salina. I have opted out for only once a year because I just can't handle the intensity of 2 a year :) It is so fun to spend time with my sister in-laws and mom in-law! We go from 9:00 a.m. (well Debbie has us go an hour early to get a good spot) till 6:00 p.m. This is a full 9 hour day! Literally you scrapbook the ENTIRE time and only stop for the lunch they bring in for you! You get SOO many pages done..and your body ACHES by the time your done..but WORTH it! Thanks DEBBIE for letting us have so much fun together!

Melissa had tshirts made for us this year SO CUTE! On the back they say "the best day ever!" That is what Debbie squeeled one year while getting super excited about some products she had purchased..and it has become a family saying (mocking is more like it)
