Snow Bunny Revealed

Ok so I don't exactly blog to much, I leave that to Janica, but it's a special occasion. My "Big Bertha" (sorry Albert I had to say it) and his lovely wife invited us to go up to Alta Ski Resort for "Ski Free After Three". I of course being the snow addict that I am got so excited, Janica on the other was less enthused to put it politely. Well being the great wife she is agreed, to go just because she knew it would make me so happy to have her up there. The days leading up to the event were a bit nerve racking for her. Janica is not a big fan of skiing due to the lack of control that she has with such long skis. I had this problem, until 5 years when I discovered Snow Blades. I am pretty sure this is what the good man upstairs uses when he hits those powdered clouds in the sky. Well having the instinct that I have I convinced her eventually to give them a try. Snow Blades are much shorter than normal skis, allowing better control. I compare it to roller blading on snow. So the big day arrived and you could see the nervousness on Janica's face. She was hoping for an out. Well we got to the mountain, and We were off, you know Jan is unsure when she won't talk. Well it didn't start out with a bang more like with a splat, right off the lift. The good sport she is just put on a smile and we headed down. I am not joking when I say that she picked it up right away. She was snow-plowing for most of the first run, but by the end she was a natural. I was so proud of her as we made 2 more runs, and each time getting better and faster. At the end of our 3 runs I braved the question, " So honey how was it and A, and A+?" With a giggly smile replied, "A." Wow what relief I was so excited. There is no better feeling that when your wife enojoys an activity that you yourself love so much. Later on she mentioned that she would like to do it again and that she had a really fun time and wants to go again. Well needless to say Janica made my month. I am so proud of her for trying something she hated with a new twist. She's great! Here are some pics of the event. Thanks Albert and Jen for the great time.

Breed: Morkie (yorkie maltese mix)

No sorry it's not the first grandchild in the Payne family..but she is Almost as fun! After only a week of all of us begging for a dog, Mom and Dad finally agreed and put some stipulations into place that the kids agreed to. Many people ask...how many dogs is this for your family? Your trying again? YES, we are trying again and it doesn't matter how many previous dogs we had! We decided to switch the breed..ALL of our previous dogs have been Bechon Frise. They are the cutest things but not the SMARTEST! Savvy has already out smarted them by day 3 of her entering the Payne home :) She is so cute and has the cutest personality, she is a little ball of energy and LOVES to cuddle! It's so fun to have her isn't she the CUTEST??

Will really loved her and is so soft with her!

~A gift from the past~

To make a long story short...We forgot to include my bridal CD with my picture package. We just got a certain number of prints and my parents and I split them. I realized that I wanted all my bridals not just some of them! I loved them and I had a hard time picking just a few. So a year after we got married I called my photographer and asked how much it would be to buy it...WOW..too much for a young married couple. I told him we would save up and NOT to throw it away. Well, here it was 2 and half years and still no bridal CD...until one day..Christmas to be exact..MY parents surprised us with the CD!! WE were thrilled! What a great present. Pictures are priceless. When I looked at all the pictures I could not believe it has been 2 1/2 years since we were married! It was so fun to reminise about that fun time of our lives! THanks so much mom and dad! Here are a few of the pictures..

This water was ICE cold!! And under me was pure mud! I sat on a sheet and we were lucky to not get an ounce of it on my dress! OH things you do for a good picture!

This was a candid shot..I was posing for my picture and Nolan came in and stole a kiss!

Oh the life of married college students!

When people ask what is new with us..I am constantly saying, nothing really just the wonderful early years of marriage full of school and work! Don't get me wrong I LOVE married life it is so much fun! HOWEVER..married life is so much more fun when your spouse is actually home! While he is doing this....

I feel like this..... A little dramatic..? Maybe! But I have been thinking lately..man this school thing doesn't really seem like it will ever end! I know for a fact it is worth it and I would not change it for a minute but dang it's hard! Nolan is amazing he wakes up and goes to the gym at 5:00a.m straight from there he heads to work till 4:30 and then heads to school until 8:30!! We usually reunite for the day at 8 or 9 o'clock at night and believe me it is the highlight of my day! I LOVE WHEN NOLAN GETS HOME! He has a smile, hug and a kiss for me when he walks in that door and just like that..MY DAY IS MADE!!! Life is so much more fun when he is around! I am sure MOST of you can relate to this life of college students and one day I know we will look back and say remember when we NEVER saw eachother and we were newly married and life was easy? ahahah!! I LOVE Nolan and I just want him to know how proud I am of him and how hard he works for our little family and how well he does at taking on all his roles of student, husband, employee, ect. I LOVE YOU BABE your doing great! (I promise i will make it through this with a smile)

My new hobby sneak peak!

I have picked up a new hobby! I make baby bows/headbands! It has been so much fun, I am obsessed about having little girls in bows and headbands! I have also made binki clips and cute burp clothes! I have been selling them here and there to friends and by word of mouth and it has been quite fun! I think once I get time to take some more pics of little girls with the bows I will make a separate blog for them! Here is just a few of the ones I have made..they just look so much cuter on the little models!

This is my first little model. This is my friends baby named Brylie. My brother took these pictres of her. This is a little flower on a nylon headband.

Are these not the cutest pictures ever? There a some more of her on his blog that are to die for..check it out on my friends list!

These are the burp clothes and matching binki clips in a gift set I made for my friend to give at 2 baby boy showers.

Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest but you get the idea. Each bow is on an alligator clip that fastens to the head band so you can interchange them!

If you need baby gifts they are super fun!
