BIRTH DAY

So this is not going to be an entire birth story but rather a readers digest of the day Brielle came to the world.

My water broke Sunday morning, I was due to be induced Monday morning. I always wanted my water to break, i was so excited after I determined it was my water and that I indeed did not wet the bed. We got to the hospital and they started my pitocin awhile later. A few hours later I got my epidural.

Nolan and I just hanging out before that pain set it (notice the smile)

One of the hardest parts about the whole thing was my dad had to leave on a business trip at 6:00 p.m. we knew she probably would not get there until after then, but before he left we had a daddy daughter chat and I shed a few tears, I really wanted him there and I knew if he could of missed it he would. However just like my dad always does, he talked to me and made me feel better.

The sisters just hanging out at the hospital watching movies and talking.

Then came the uphill battle. Around 6 o'clock I started feeling my contractions. I thought it was just because I was laying on my side and needed to change positions, I also pushed my epidural button, we waited for it to kick in but nothing happened after about 30 min. I could move my legs and was feeling everything! I was in so much pain and Nolan helped coach me through my contractions-- I felt like I was on a Baby Story having natural childbirth. I was in tears. The nurse called the anesthesiologist and he came and gave me a bolus shot of the epidural meds to see if that would work, at the same time my mom went to flip my pillow over because I was sweating in pain. She found a wet spot on my pillow which happened to be my epidural medication--yea the tube came unscrewed and I was not getting any medication. Also at the same time the nurse checked me and I was at an 8 PLUS!!! I could not believe I was at an 8 and feeling everything!! It still was not working and I was sobbing with each contraction. The man with the drugs came in and said ok here is a direct shot of Lidacaine, you won't be able to move your legs at all!! It slowly started to work up my legs right in time for them to call the doctor and for me to push. I started pushing at 8:41 and Brielle came at 9:24. The actual labor(pushing) was so tiring but I loved it!! It was such an amazing experience! When they layed her on me, I sobbed. I was just SOO happy!! Brielle weighed 7lbs. 4oz. and 20 inches long. Nolan was amazing during the whole thing. He was supported and involved, and you should have seen him after she came out--video camera in one hand, camera in the other, and the biggest smile you have ever seen.

HOLDING my LITTLE GIRL for the first time. Right after she got weighed and measured and wiped off.

PROUD NEW PARENTS

OUR AMAZING MIDWIFE, I enjoyed her so much during my entire pregnancy

Then came the adoring family. The new Payne girl Clan

And of course the EXCITED Grandma's!

First Time Grandma

Auntie Staci

Nolan changed all of her diapers in the hospital. This was her fist one.

Visitors came to see our girl. Here is Aunt Shanna and Uncle Chris

Aunt ALI

Our sweet girl has so much dark hair and EVERYONE loved it! The nurses had to call who got to give her, her bath. Also one night they brought her to me at 2:00 a.m. and she had gotten a bath and different bows. I said "oh you gave her a bath!" Then at 5:30 she came back and her hair was different and she had different bows--I asked "did you give her another bath?" No we just washed and played with her hair. It is gorgeous. We love it!

LATE LATE NIGHT at the hospital because we didn't want to giver her to the nursery yet. We just wanted to cuddle.

Then Daddy had to have his turn and they had some good cuddle time on the couch.

Going home outfit. Daddy picked it out! This is only a few hours after we finally chose her name: Brielle Melise Poulson. Can you believe this smile?

Daddy and Brielle ready to go home.

WE are beyond elated to have her in our family. I never knew the joy, love, and happiness that I could feel with having a baby. It was the best moment of my life to give birth to her and hold her for the first time. We are just completely enjoying her, and she is absolutely beautiful, I just can't get enough of her. Nolan has been an amazing dad so far. I have really really enjoyed watching him with her. The way he looks at her and talks to her brings me more happiness than I can even explain. (Ok I know, this is so much deep feeling stuff, but I just can't help it!)

Our Little Brielle

This is when my dad got to see her for the first time. He had this grin on his face for about an hour! She loves cuddling with him cause he is so warm.

The new grandparents--I LOVE THEM! THey have been such an amazing help to us, I could not do it without them!

Some visitors- Brandon and Lauren--Brielle litterally melted their hearts :)

AAAAAAAHHHH... she is so cute!

She is such a good baby! We adore her if you can't tell.

First time we washed her hair. She was not too happy.

First Family Walk. It was so fun to get out together and go on a walk. Brielle love it, she slept the whole time :)

THE PROUD DADDY!!!

Love at her bright eyes! AND SHE IS SOO TINY!

KISSES from MOM!
I don't want her to grow up!!!

SHE always has to have her hands by her face, she did this in my belly too!
Seriously isn't she adorable?

Exciting Update!!

So, as many of you know we are now homeowners!! Its so exciting and surreal. We have been looking for awhile and found an awesome home for us. It's red brick and stucco, 4 bedrooms, a great back yard with vinyl fencing, 2500 sq. ft. and just a good home for us. We have visited the ward for a few weeks and they have been SOO friendly and we love our neighborhood.

Commonly asked questions:

WHEN ARE YOU MOVING IN?: We still need to paint the entire house and it needs to be cleaned before we move in. Plus we did not want to be rushed and have a half ready place to bring our baby home to. So we are working on it as much as we can being pregnant, and Nolan working and going to school full time. Our family and friends have offered a lot of help and we are so grateful for that. It's really important to me to be able to enjoy our little girl when she comes and not be worrying about the house or moving during the week Nolan doesn't have to work. So we decided to keep our apartment into October to make that happen.

ARE YOU CRAZY BUYING A HOUSE AND HAVING A BABY ALL IN THE SAME WEEK???
YES, we are completely crazy. It is really stressful and exciting all at the same time. Nolan commented to me the other day: we don't to anything "normal" we either GO BIG OR GO HOME!! We are excited and when you find your house, you jump on it, and it happend to be crazy timing!

WHEN WILL YOU POST PICTURES??
We are so excited with our house and wish everyone could see it, but we are crazy busy!! Blogging isn't really a high priority. Unfortunately, it won't be for awhile. We will post before and after pictures for sure its just a matter of time :)

ALIVE and computerless

We are definitely alive! Tons of things have happened in the past little bit. Sorry this post is picture-less as well. So here is a short and sweet update.

UPDATE 1
-How about number one fact: OUR BABY'S DUE DATE IS IN 20 DAYS yes as in DAYS!!

-I went to the doctor last week and was checked for the first time. NOTHING! Which is fine cause I still have a couple of weeks. But this week when I go I want to hear something even if its just..your softer than last time! Baby is doing great and I had the dr. check to make sure she was still a girl...very obvious she is a girl still!

-Nolan is beside himself and sometimes I think he going to burst if he has to wait any longer for her to come. We have spent so much money on cute clothes for her and she has everything she needs to come now.

UPDATE 2: Job change

-I am no longer working as a nanny (for now). I miss my sweet boys like crazy! Life has been wierd not filling my days with cute smiles, trains, and boys! This was such a hard decision, and transition for me.
I looked at every option before we decided that this was the best thing for us. When baby girl gets here I will probably go back 1 day a week so I can see the boys and still have a relationship with them. It has been so hard watching them get a new nanny and see somebody else filling my postition. Will is practically my son of 3 years. I kind of feel like I am getting my kids taken away from me, and I litterally feel heart sick. I love them so much and I have such a special place in my heart for the Johnson family. I know they are only a short drive away and its not like I will never see them again, but it will never be the same. They were my life every day of the week for almost 10 hours a day. I know that when my baby comes I will have a special bond with her that will be completely different and amazing and I look forward to that day. But for now I miss my little boys!

UPDATE 3: Change of vehicle?

We have been so blessed by Nolan's work. They gave him a brand new truck that he LOVES! He is working in provo right now and it is a CRAZY long commute. So to have a vehicle to put the miles on rather than ours is great! Not to mention not having to fill it up with gas! So that brings us to our next thing...TO SELL or not to SELL. We have a car that sits all the time. It's paid off and runs good so it almost seems like it is worth more to us then if we were to sell it. I don't know what to do.

UPDATE 4: No internet or computer

I don't have a computer or internet. I used have it at work when I had free time. But we kind of live in the dark ages and hopefully this will change soon. That is why I have not updated in FOREVER! IN a way it is nice cause I dont waste time on facebook or other things but I feel a little out of touch. Nolan does have a work computer but he uses it for homework at nights so we will have way to show pictures of the baby when she gets here. We wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity to show her off!

UPDATE 5: Some good news to come shortly

Pregnancy update and Nursery sneak peak!

FIRST THINGS FIRST: I am apologizing in advance if you are all bored with the pregnancy posts, but as always its my way of saving the memories :)

Nursery Sneak Peak: This is way more than I was going to show, but it really doesn't do any justice. This is when we first got our crib and I am IN LOVE WITH IT!!! It took a lot of shopping around and a lot of other options before we decided to invest in this one! I LOVE IT A TEN!! I am just waiting for a few last finishing touches like the curtain valance that is supposed to be here by now! I am excited for her nursery!

Painting the flowers--what a pain. It turned out so cute though!

Pregnancy Update : Our time is begining to wind down until the little munchkin gets here. Everyone is getting so excited for us and it is fun to have our family just as excited as we are. This is Sunday dinner when the baby was putting on a little show for her family! She is already spoiled by the grandparents and aunties! Every time we come over there is a discussion about baby names, what is going to happen when the final day comes (when can we come to the hospital, when are you going to call us ect.) We know this little girl is going to have LOTS of love!

THE AWESOME DAD: WOW, where do I even start...this boy is one of the best parts of pregnancy. Seeing his excitement, hearing him talk to my belly, bringing home little outfits, always asking about her, always thoughtful of how I am feeling, rubbing my back, the list goes on and on. Nolan has completely exceeded my expectations with pregnancy and he is so excited for his little girl to come. He has big plans for the two of them to be buddies. He is a proud dad already! Despite the silly picture he hasn't even put on ONE pound of pregnancy weight!

PREGNANCY UPDATE: Baby girl Poulson is doing great. She moves pretty constantly now, and I LOVE IT!! Sometimes I feel like she is dancing in there. She is looking beautiful. At our last visit we got and awesome 3D picture of her and she is so cute! I wonder how close she'll look to her picture? We have added a name or two to our list. Pregnancy is going well--the summer is HOT!!! The doctor says everything looks great. Starting to worry a little bit about the whole labor thing--I think sometimes I forget that I actually have to give birth to her to get her here.

BELLY BUSTERS: My belly has kind of leveled off lately--poor thing she is running out room.

27 weeks

30 weeks

And most recent 32 weeks!!
