The story of finding out the gender.

When we went to our ultra sound at our doctors office we were determined to find out the sex of our baby. I was 14 and half weeks along and I knew it could still be too early to tell.

First thing we did when she walked in the room is asked if we could see the sex this time. She moved us into another room with the newest ultra sound machine. When our little angel showed on the screen I almost started crying because this was the first time it actually looked like a baby! She was moving and even jumped for us! It was truly amazing! The doctor poked my belly and moved around, but still kinda had a hard time getting a peek at "the goods".

When I first got a shot between the legs I got excited and said "It's a girl!" the doctor answered "yep I am 95% sure its a girl." I got so excited and the ultra sound continued. We got another angle leg shot..I said quite unsure "No! It's a boy!" the doctor replied "yea, this early it can be hard to tell the difference, and now I am 50/50." I kept thinking in my head..come on little one let us see you!! After another few minutes and some other angles the doc said "I am going to stick with girl 95%."

Most of my pregnancy I have felt like this baby was a boy so I didn't know what to believe, and the whole 50/50 part just convinced me enough that I wasn't sure!! NOlan and I talked on the way home, we talked about how she gave us a 95% chance of a girl and we should probably believe her! I looked at Nolan and asked "are you dissapointed?" He answered "NO! NOT at all!" "I feel like your not excited" "No, I did't care either way, but I thought it was a boy so I am kind of shocked, and I still have a little bit of doubt since we couldn't get a 100% but I am so excited to have a little girl to be my princess!" It melted my heart to hear him talk about our future daughter like that!

So we called everyone and told them our baby was a little girl. We brought over the ultra sound video to my families house and I watched it probably 4 times in a row. I swear I kept seeing little boy parts! The more I watched it the more skeptical i became. I kept telling myself "Dr. has been doing this for 15 years I think she knows what she is talking abut." My mom got in my head too, she kept saying I swear that's a boy, look right there!

That night NOlan came home from class with a cute little girl outfit and it made me really excited! I started to let my mind wander to thoughts of girls, and frills!

A few days later I was visiting Lauren and she suggested that we go to fetal photos. WHich had been an idea tossed around by NOlan and I. I really wanted to do it, but did I want to fork over the cash??? I finally decided it was totally worth it to me, what the heck its our first kid and we are so excited I JUST HAD TO KNOW 100%!!! So I called my mom and we all went to fetal photos. It was SO much fun! They had big nice rooms with huge screens and the technician was so fun and so nice! She got some AWESOME pictures of our little girl. She gave us the 100% girl and I was so excited, it was SO worth it!!

Everytime we get an ultra sound it blows me away. She changes SO fast and everytime she gets cuter and cuter! I can't believe people don't believe that babies in the womb that early are not growing human beings! She already has a habit, EVERY single ultra sound she has one of her hands by her face, its so cute!! I love to see her move and wiggle! I am so happy I can't believe its finally my turn to be a mom! We love you baby poulson!

BOY or GIRL?

Pink or Blue? That is the question.

I have been asked a number of times since being pregnant. Do you think it's a boy or girl? Do you have a preference? Good question!

Before I was pregnant I always thought I wanted a girl. Since I have been pregnant I still want a girl, but I want a boy too. I JUST CAN'T decide! Good thing its not up to me huh?

The reasons I want a girl are:

- If you know me, I am a GIRLY GIRL! I want a little girl to make pretty and put bows and dresses on. Hello, I only make and sell them! One I can play dolls with and one that maybe one day people will say she looks like you! I would love to see Nolan with a little daughter and see his world wrapped around her little finger. Nolan would be a great "girl dad".

The reasons I want a boy are:

- What is cuter than a little baby boy with a cute little vest and polo shirt? Will has really warmed me up to the idea of a boy. BOYS ARE SO low maintenance when it comes to emotions!! Boys just seem a little easier than girls. NOlan would have a buddy to do all the boys things he loves so much, even at the expense of me being left out :)

So all in all, as everyone says: It doesn't really matter either way as long as we have a healthy baby that's all that matters! Our doctor said that she can usually tell by week 14 and our next doctors appointment is on Thursday and I will be 14 and a half weeks. So if baby cooperates and all goes as we hope..we could know the gender in a few days!!! We'll cross our fingers but you can never be sure what the little pnut will do! Make sure to vote on our poll- BOY or GIRL.. and stay tuned for the news.

Random Update

So as of now, we still don't have a computer. We found out that our mother board was going out. We were able to save all of our pictures and files thank goodness!! So I feel like I have lost touch with our blog. Nolan is so busy that who knows when we will be able to go looking for a new computer! So anyway here is a little updated post with random things that are on my mind.

1. Will's little brother will be arriving here soon! He is due to come April 10th. I can't wait to see this little guy and be able to take care of a baby again!

2. I love NOlan. He is so busy with work and school. He juggles everything so well! He is so loving and treats me so good. I often times (especially lately) feel like I don't deserve him. He is inspiring to me. He truely loves life and makes me laugh everyday.

3. I love my family. I have thought about moving away from utah, or even 30-40 min. away from where they live. Now I think I couldn't live more than 15 min. away. It would kill me. I love going over for sunday dinner and laughing and talking for hours!

4. I have learned so much about friends lately. Some that opened up to me about amazing things they have experienced, hard times, and all who have give me hope and encouragment. They make me feel like I am not alone in things I experience. I am grateful for the new friendships that have opened up for me in the last little bit.

5. I am grateful for friends..PERIOD. I don't know how I could live in a world with no friends.

6. I am so ready for spring! I am also ready for some summer watermelon!

7. I need to cook more.

8. I need more energy.

9. My little sister is getting married in May. I can't believe it, she still seems so young to me. Her fiance and her and quite a match and seem so happy!

10. Am I really turning 24 this april? And I have already been married 3 1/2 years. CRAZY!

11. I want a house.

12. I LOVE NOLAN

13. I am lucky to have him.

14. I love my little WILL!

15. Hopefully soon I can share pictures on this blog, and hopefully soon we can get our own computer.

SO LONG FOR NOW

Kids say the cutest things!

The other day I was having a little bit of a bad day and I was on the phone and a few tears escaped my eyes when this cute little guy said this:

Will: "Ja Ja (jani) have water on face?"

Me: "Yes, Jani has water on face"

Will: (very concerned look, and intent concentration on these water dropplets) " Wipe it off wiff towel"

He proceeded to get a towel from the kitchen and wipe my face off. Now if that doesn't make you smile and turn a bad day into a good one, I don't know what will.

I love this little guy so much! He is a big part of my life and makes me smile everyday! I love you Will! (thanks tiff I got the pic from your computer)
